Joanna C. Valente is the author of several books, including the forthcoming #Survivor (The Operating System, 2020), from which this collection of photographs is taken. Joanna is the founder of Yes, Poetry, is the senior managing editor of Luna Luna Magazine, and has been published in Brooklyn Magazine, The Rumpus, VIDA, and The Huffington Post, among others. A self-described ghost, they live in Brooklyn, NY.
