We sat side by side, a feather
of air between us, the first time
together in months. I wondered
if you were imagining the salt
of my tongue, the bite
of my skin, the low of my moan.
We spent hours
together, talking but never
touching until
we said goodbye at 2am.
I held you then, my breath
kissed your skin as I whispered,
Still.
