We want to make it crystal clear to everyone that Barren Magazine is a safe space that embraces the beauty of the human condition and celebrates diversity, inclusion, and equality.We at Barren Magazine do not tolerate any form of racism, bigotry, sexism, harassment, political extremism, religious exclusion, or abuse of any kind from our readers, contributors, or volunteers.
We will immediately investigate and take action on any report of misconduct. In a short time, we have attracted an audience from over 25 countries across 6 continents, due in large part to the intrinsic humanness of our material. We adore our global audience and take pride in our widespread appeal.
If you ever have any concerns about violations of the statements above, please feel comfortable to tell me at any time. We are in contact with a lot of people and sensitive material, and I can assure you that we treat both with the utmost care and respect.
Jason Ramsey is the Editor-In-Chief of Barren Magazine and Founder/Executive Director of ALTARWORK. He’s married with five kids – including two sets of twins – and walks the tightrope of family and career with both eagerness and unease. He gravitates towards mental health advocacy, social and religious equality, hard-life fiction, the Detroit Tigers, and all things Michigan State University.
