i know her eyes are blue,
but the hue is hard to detect
except for the emotions i feel
when i see large bodies of water,
apprehension gets a hold of me;
it shakes me and screams that i can’t swim.
so they’re not as deep as the ocean.
on the contrary,
they’re as light as the sky:
when i see the cloudless heavens,
levity embraces me;
it lifts me in the air and laughs that i’m lightweight.
that’s what happens when i look into her eyes.
